Illustrated with twenty-eight plates. Collated, complete.
In full crushed morocco-backed card covers. With a matching leather slipcase, with a circle cut-out to both sides.
David Bryce and Son was known as being one of the most prolific and successful makers of miniature books, with other publications including the smallest English dictionary in the world, a famous edition of Shakespeare's complete works, and a miniature Quran.
With a charming contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
Condition
In full crushed morocco-backed card covers. With a matching leather slipcase, with a circle cut-out to both sides. Externally, very smart, with a few faint marks to the leather and mild edge wear. Front board corner bumped. Slipcase is smart, with rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd spot. Charming contemporary ink inscription to front free endpaper.
