With a frontispiece of Bebington Church. A commentary on the churches of the parish of Wirral, a metropolitan borough of Merseyside, in the North West of England. Churches explored include Bidston, Overchurch, Stoke, Woodchurch, Shotwick, and Backford. Written by William Fergusson Irvine, an English historian. Previously held in the library of Ivor A. B. Ferguson, an English member of the peerage.
Condition
In the original full cream cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor discolouration to the cloth and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Library bookplate to the front endpaper. Library ink stamp to the front pastedown and the reverse of the title page. Much of the textblock remains unopened.
