In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding by Sutton, with gilt lettering. With a colour frontispiece and numerous photographs throughout, showcasing the everyday life of those in the British military services. 'The Navy & Army Illustrated', was a magazine which covered military matters from 1895 until 1915. For most of the magazines publication, it was edited by Charles Napier Robinson, an English journalist and writer. Robinson, himself, served in the Royal Navy and earned the title of Commander before pursuing his career in writing.
