With a monochrome frontispiece, a vignette to title and twenty two plates of illustrations. Collated complete.

This work explores various features and insights into Milman's Garden of Peace, a place that the author had settled in as her home. 

She speaks lovingly of the birds, sun-dial and growth of the garden in a poetic, almost fictitious style and dedicated the work to her sister.

Condition

In full calf Bumpus binding. Externally, with rubbing to extremities and handling marks to the boards. There is fading and rubbing to the spine and the calf is slightly lifting to the head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Offsetting to free endpapers, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
