The first edition of 'Beatrice' (1890). With catalogue dated March 1890 to rear. McKay 15.

The first edition of 'The World's Desire' (1890), a work co-authored with Andrew Langg. A later state, with advertisements dated October 1892. McKay 16.

The first UK edition of 'Montezuma's Daughter' (1893) published two days after the US first edition. With publisher's catalogue correctly dated August 1893. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and twenty-three plates. Collated, complete. McKay 19a.

The first edition of 'The People of the Mist' (1894), with catalogue dated September 1894. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fifteen plates. Collated, complete. McKay 20.

The first UK edition of 'Heart of the World' (1896) published the year after the US true first. With publisher's catalogue correctly dated December 1895. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fourteen plates. Collated, complete. McKay 22a.

This volume is rebacked, with back strip laid down and endpapers renewed.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth bindings. 'Heart' is rebacked, with back strip laid down and endpapers renewed. Small tide mark to head of front board of 'Desire', with light spotting to head of front board of 'Beatrice'. Bumping to back strip heads and tails. Small losses of cloth to heads and tails of four back strips, with front joint of 'Daughter', tail of rear joint of 'Desire', head of rear joint of 'Beatrice' and rear joint of 'Mists' starting, with boards a touch tender. Hinges strained, and generally firmly held. 'Swallow' lacking front free endpaper. Inscription to front free endpaper of 'Mist'. Internally, generally firmly bound, but with two leaves of 'Mist' detached and loosely inserted. Pages lightly age toned, with the odd light handling mark or spot. More significant spotting and foxing to earliest three volumes.
