In the publisher's original decorative cloth, with gilt.
With a colour frontispiece and in-text illustrations.
A heart warming story following a young boy named Walter and the lessons he learns once he becomes a student at Rock View boy's boarding school.
The author, A. L. Scott, utilises religious themes throughout, including references to Jesus' crown of thorns, Sunday reading and Walter's prayers for the well-being of his friends.
Undated, dated from a copy held at the British Library.
With publisher's advertisements to the rear free endpaper and rear pastedown.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. With slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the spine head and tail. Light sunning to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
