Providing commentaries on both the land and its people, their resilience and hardship, and the daily realities of life in this area. Written by Sir Wilfred Thomason Grenfell, a British medical missionary to Newfoundland, who wrote books on his work and other topics.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. A folding coloured map is pasted to the rear pastedown.
