What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

A collection of quatrains attributed to Omar Khayyam, a Persian polymath, known for contributions made to astronomy, philosopher, poetry, and mathematics. There is a tradition of attributing poetry to Khayyam, which became widely known to the English-reading world following this translation which was found to be very popular due to the interest in Orientalism of the fin de siecle. Translated by Edward Fitzgerald, an English poet and writer.
