The second collection of children's nursery rhymes beautifully illustrated by Randolph Caldecott. Illustrated throughout with numerous colour images. Comprised of eight much-loved verses, including 'The Milkmaid', 'Hey Diddle Diddle, and Baby Bunting', 'The Fox jumps over the Parson's Gate', 'A Frog he Would a-Wooing Go', 'Come Lasses and Lads', 'Ride a Cock-Horse to Banbury Cross, and A Farmer Went Trotting upon his Grey Mare', 'Mrs. Mary Blaize' and 'The Great Panjandrum Himself'. Written and illustrated by Randolph Caldecott, a British artist and illustrator, renowned for his book illustration. The Caldecott Medal was named in his honour. Dated from the British Library.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with scattered spotting throughout. Light creasing to the edges of the endpapers.
