Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, monochrome vignettes and fifteen monochrome plates.

Written by Arthur Morrison, an English detective story writer and contemporary of Arthur Conan Doyle. This story follows Morrison's popular detective character 'Martin Hewitt', as he solves a series of cases including robberies and the case of a missing man.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with pictorial boards. Externally generally smart with handling marks to the rear, a very slight lean, edge wear with minor loss to the extremities of the boards and very small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with age toned and clean pages.
