The author's presentation copy, with a presentation label opposite the half title. This work was presented to James Bonar, with this being his personal copy with his bookplate to the front pastedown. Bonar was a Scottish political economist and historian, who wrote many works on philosophy and economy. 

In the publisher's original cloth. 

This scarce work was written by John Watson, and provides a critical and constructive analysis of the philosophical theories of the renowned philosophers, Comte, Mill and Spencer.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with only very slight fading to the spine, and minimal wear to the extremities. Bookplate of 'James Bonar' to the front pastedown with offsetting to the endpapers. Presentation label opposite half title. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
