First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fifty-seven plates. Collated complete. A detailed record of a year of sport, with chapters on birds of prey, the nidification of birds, and the habits of British wild birds and animals. Containing forty-five parts, being a collection of articles dealing with the consecutive seasonal phases of sport across the British Isles. Edited by Oswald John Frederick Crawfurd, a British journalist, man of letters and diplomat who served as British consul in Porto, Portugal. Illustrated by Frank Feller, Bryan Hook, Cecil Aldin, A. T. Elwes, E. Neale, John Beer, P. Vienzeny, Stanley Berkeley, and G. E. Lodge.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
