    No. 27 of 50 large paper copies of this work produced. A very scarce work.

    Illustrated with twenty signed mounted proof etchings from author and engraver Alexander Ansted, and with further vignette illustrations.

    Collated, complete.

    With the bookplate of James Willcox Alsop to the front pastedown.

    A beautifully illustrated study of the French and Italian riviera, with discussion of - and plates of - Cannes, San Remo, Genoa, and Nice.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding. Back strip and board perimeters age toned, with light tide marks to fore edge of front board. Bumps to back strip head and tail. Light fraying to cloth of rear joint. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with only the odd handling mark and spot.
