The novel is narrated by the narrator of 'Pendennis', Arthur Pendennis himself, giving the novel a slightly nostalgic tone.
Bookplate of Laurence A. Turner to the front paste downs. Turner was an architect who designed the tombs of William Morris and Norman Shaw, alongside working on many important buildings across England.
Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.
Condition
In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the boards and spines. Spines and the front joint of Volume I are a little faded. Minor bumping to the extremities. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with the occasional scattered spot.
