The work of English illustrator, author and poet Edward Lear, most renowned for his literary nonsense verses, in particular his limericks. 'The Owl and the Pussycat' is amongst his famous poems, and is included in this volume.
Illustrated throughout by Lear himself.
With additional songs and an introduction by Sir E. Strachey.

Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Bumping to spine head and tail, with split to cloth at tail of front joint. Hinges strained, but generally firmly held. internally, binding lightly strained. Pages generally clean and bright.
