A very scarce work. 

Illustrated by Maurice Greiffenhagen with a monochrome frontispiece and eight monochrome plates. Collated, complete. 

A collection of short amateur plays from Frederick Moore Simpson, intended to be performed in the drawing-room between friends and family. The plays depict scenes such as a widow who helps a doctor to find love, and a man who finds himself falling in love with a chaperone. 

Bound in modern half calf with marbled paper to the boards.

Condition

Bound in modern half calf with marbled paper to the boards. Endpapers and blanks renewed, half title retained. Externally lovely with only the odd slight mark to the leather. Bookplate of a Michael Whitehall to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with only the odd spot to the front and rear.
