Condition

In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and board edges with the odd small mark to the cloth. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spines of the pheasant, hare, and salmon. Front hinge starting but firm to the grouse, rabbit, trout, and the snipe and woodcock. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Tide marks to the rear few pages of the grouse. Previous owner's bookplate and contemporary ink inscriptions to the front endpapers of the odd volume.
