Translated by British linguist R. Nisbet Bain, who assisted in many translations and published several of his own works.
In lovely condition, featuring a frontispiece, and 11 monochrome plates, rendered by artist Laurence Housman, brother to poet A. E. Housman. Collated complete.

Bound in original blue cloth. Externally, smart. Shelf wear. Age toning to board extremities. Small puncture mark to front joint. Fading to spine. Internally, firmly bound, occasional evidence of strain. Pages consistently bright and clean.
