A fascinating biography of Paul Boyton (1848-1924), the showman and adventurer some credit as having spurred worldwide interest in water sports as a hobby, particularly open-water swimming. Known as Fearless Frogman, this work details his 'voyages on all the great rivers of the world, paddling over twenty-five thousand miles in a rubber dress'.

In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with light fraying to back strip tail. Handling marks to boards, with light rubbing to joints. Hinges strained to tails, with boards firmly held. Newspaper clipping to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned to perimeters, otherwise clean and bright.
