Andrew Lang is best known for these collections of fairy tales, and was an avid collector of folk and fairy tales. He was a Scottish poet, novelist, and literary critic.
Illustrated by Henry Justice Ford, a noted English illustrator who is best known for his beautiful illustrations for Lang's works.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with a tear to the rear joint. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine, a little heavier to the rear board. Gilt to the front board is lightly rubbed.Gift inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot and handling mark, heavier marks to pages 11 to 16.
