First UK edition, first impression with the price facing the half-title altered in ink and the catalogue is dated 3/93 to the end. Illustrated with twenty eight plates. Collated complete. A charming collection of short stories including The Beach of Falesa, The Bottle Imp and The Isle of Voices. This volume would prove to be some of Stevenson's final completed works before his death in 1894. Written by Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish novelist best known for his works Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Illustrated by Gordon Frederick Browne, an English artist and a prolific illustrator, and William Hatherell, a British painter and illustrator. With publisher's advertisements to the rear.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and fading to the extremities. Hinges just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light age toning to the extremities.
