Curated by Theodore Roosevelt and George Bird Grinnell (founders of the Boone and Crockett Club), this volume comprises a series of essays and accounts centred around the sport of big-game hunting, together with a list of the Boone and Crockett Club's aims and members book-ending this work.
Titles include 'A Day with the Elk' by Winthrop Chanler, 'Big Game in the Rockies' by Archibald Rogers, and 'In Buffalo Days' by Grinnell.
With illustrations, many of which were originally published in Scribner's Magazine. Including a frontispiece and fifteen monochrome plates. Collated, complete.

In the original cloth binding. Externally, with fading to the spine and partly to the board edges. Spotting to the spine and slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Bookplate of one John Kenneth Foster to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
