Bound in a full limp morocco binding. This collection comprises the complete poetical works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, including major pieces such as "Evangeline", "The Song of Hiawatha", "The Courtship of Miles Standish", and celebrated shorter poems like “The Bridge,” “The Wreck of the Hesperus,” and others, including later copyright works. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807–1882) was among the most widely read American poets of the 19th century, renowned for his lyrical style and verse.
These volumes are undated. Dated here using Jisc, from copies held at The British Library.
These copies are a specially formatted Oxford Miniature series of Longfellow's complete works.
Condition
Bound in a full limp morocco binding. Externally, smart. Spines faded. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Front rear endpaper of volume one partially affixed to rear paste down. Slight fading to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, if slightly age toned. One or two spots and minor handling marks to first and last few leaves. Two small chips to final page of volume two.
