    Description

    First Edition, Illustrated

    With twelve black and white plates. Complete with illustrated frontispiece and original tissueguard.

    Condition

    In a full cloth binding with gilt detailed spine. Externally, a trifle rubbed with some light wear to extremities. Spine is cocked. Hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound with binding just a little tender in places. Spotting to endpapers and tissueguard, as expected, but otherwise a bright and clean copy. Neat ink stamp of previous owner to upper margin of half title.
