Algernon Charles Swinburne was a noted English poet, playwright, and novelist who wrote on many taboo topics such as sado-masochism, atheism, and homosexuality.
Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown, dated 1892. Also containing a Henry Sotheran bookseller sticker to the front pastedown.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A small puncture to the cloth on the spine. Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown, dated 1892. Also containing a Henry Sotheran bookseller sticker to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean.
