The limited edition, large paper edition. Number 112 out of one hundred and fifty copies. This limited edition was published in the same year as the first edition, and is desirable due to the small limitation.

Beautifully illustrated by Henry Justice Ford, with a monochrome frontispiece, monochrome vignettes, and twelve monochrome plates. Collated, complete. 

'The Green Fairy book' is the third volume in Andrew Lang's renowned 'Fairy Book' series, in which Lang compiled fictional and sometimes true stories, fairy tales and folk tales from around the world. The green fairy book was intended to the last work in the series, before extending the series to twelve volumes. The stories were compiled from Spanish and Chinese traditions, and feature stories such as 'The Enchanted Watch', 'The Three Little Pigs', 'The Golden Mermaid', 'The Story of the Three Bears', 'The Magic Swan', and more.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Externally smart with fading to the spine, light marks to the boards, and light edge and joint wear, with slight rubbing to the raised bands and a tear to the tail of the spine. Light offsetting to the endpapers with bookplate of 'Edward S. de Stein' to the rear pastedown. Internally firmly bound with only the slight strain to the blanks, with bright pages, with the odd spot to the front and rear, otherwise clean. Many pages unopened.
