A biography on the life of John Lawrence Toole, chronicles by Joseph Hatton, written from Toole's guidance. Toole was an English actor and theatrical producer, known for his comic roles and for renovating and renaming the Folly Theatre, to 'Toole's Theatre'.
Previously owned by 'The Critics Circle' with their stamp to the front pastedown and a bookplate to the verso of the half title.

Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, joints starting, with loss to the head and tail of the spine, slight handling marks, and small chips and closed tears to the paper to the boards. Rear hinge starting after pp.272. Previously owned by 'The Critics Circle' with their stamp to the front pastedown and a bookplate to the verso of the half title. Internally generally firmly bound with minimal age toning and generally clean pages with only light spotting to the half title.
