Early reprint edition of Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens in the original publisher's cloth binding.
The novel was originally published in serial form between 1855 and 1857. It follows the story of Amy Dorrit, raised in a prison for debtors in London. In the typical Dicken's fashion, Little Dorrit satirises the shortcomings of government and society in Victorian Britain.
Illustrated by Phiz with forty monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
With gilt to the front board and spine.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is slightly discoloured. The hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
