Illustrated with four folding colour maps to the rear. Collated, complete.

Posewitz's survey examines the physical structure, geological formations, and mineral wealth of the island. Posewitz analyses rock strata, volcanic features, and fossil evidence, while also cataloguing deposits of coal, gold, antimony, and other commercially significant minerals.

With the bookplate of the Zoological Society of London to the front pastedown, and with library stamps to the front free endpaper and to the title page tail.

A wonderful study of the geology of Borneo.
