'The Little Minister' is a sentimental novel set in the Scottish weaving village Thrums, heavily based on Barrie's birthplace. The novel is concerned with an improvised minister who is struggling with his rioting congregation of weavers.
With sixteen pages of advertisements to the rear of volume I.
Retaining the original half titles.
Former owner's inscriptions to a front blank of each volume.
The work was written over fifteen years prior to the introduction of Barrie's most famous character, Peter Pan.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Hinges of volumes I and II, and rear hinge of volume III strained and somewhat tender. Former owner's inscriptions to a front blank of each volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally bright, but with instances of spotting and some foxing throughout.
