This work was written by Colonel George Bruce Malleson, an author and English Officer in India. This work provides an account of the Indian mutiny of 1857, a rebellion against the British East India Company's rule on behalf of the British crown and resulting in the death of over 100,000 Indians.
Condition
Bound in full tree calf. Externally generally smart with minor marks to the boards, fading to the spine, rubbing to the joints, raised bands and extremities and front joint starting at the head and tail. Internally firmly bound with spotting to the front and rear, otherwise generally clean. Old ink inscription dated 1910 to the front blank.
