What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding

'The Earthly Paradise' is a wonderful epic poem by William Morris, a retelling of various myths and legends from Greek and Scandinavia.

This was an incredibly popular poem that cemented Morris' reputation as one of the most important poets of his day. It was immensely influential, even providing inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien.

Morris wrote the epic poem in different forms across the different stories, writing in rhyme royal, heroic couplet, and iambic tetrameter.

The poem is divided into twelve sections, for each month of the year, each month including two mythical retellings.
