    Description

    Early Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

    The fourth edition of this work. A collection of poems by the renowned author Rudyard Kipling. Seen in both blue and maroon variant cloth binding.

    This work originally appeared in 1886 on the 'Civil & Military Gazette Press' in Lahore, and was reprinted in Calcutte in the same year, with multiple further editions following. Kipling tended to add poems with each new edition both to the 'Ditties' and the 'Other Verses.' 

    Twenty-four leaves of publisher's catalogue to rear.




    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally generally smart with light bumping and chipping to head and tail of spine and extremities, back strip darkened. Front free endpaper was pasted to front pastedown. Library stamp to half title, with library marks to front and rear title page and no further marking. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
