A Yankee engineer from Connecticut named Hank Morgan receives a severe blow to the head and finds himself inexplicably transported in time and space to England during the reign of King Arthur. Written by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by the pen name Mark Twain, an American writer, humorist, and essayist. Illustrated by Daniel Carter "Uncle Dan" Beard, an American illustrator, author, youth leader, Georgist and social reformer who founded the Sons of Daniel Boone in 1905, which Beard later merged with the Boy Scouts of America. Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and board edges with a damp mark to the front board. The odd small mark to the cloth. Hinges just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
