Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce broadsheet newspaper from Kent, this issue being for Saturday 30th March, 1889. 

This newspaper contains a wide selection of advertisements and notices for local companies, as well as articles, such as 'An Evening With Sir Arthur Sullivan', notes on the quarter sessions in Sandwich, and notices on deaths, vacant jobs, and local church services. Providing a charming insight into life in Kent during the Victorian era.

Unopened to the top edge.

Condition

Unbound, as issued. LEaves are age-toned and spotted. Edge wear to the leaves, with chips and closed tears, a larger tear to the backstrip, not resulting in loss of text. Small chips to the folds resulting in a very small amount of loss of text. Unopened to the top edge.
