A charming and detailed travel work by Amelia Edwards, recounting her 1872 expedition to the Dolomites.

Edwards travelled with her friend Lucy Renshaw, who hired mountain guides from the region. At the time of this expedition, the Dolomites were described as 'terra incognita', with many having never heard of them.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Fading and damp staining to board perimeters and back strip tail. Front joint a touch strained but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright. A number of gatherings unopened to head.
