This adventure novel from popular French writer Jules Verne, covers a time span of over ten years and follows the fortunes of the mining community of Aberfoyle near Stirling, Scotland.

Condition

In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, smart. With rubbing and bumping to the extremities, most notable to the spine head and tail. With marks to the boards, including a tidemark to the front. Darkening to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and the odd spot. With a small chip to the contents leaf, not affecting the text.
