With commentary on religion and an added chapter on Christianity in China. Written by Sir Robert Kennaway Douglas, a British oriental scholar.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small split in the cloth to the board edges. Hinges just starting but firm with the front endpapers to page vi loosening. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor age toning to the extremities. Light spotting to the plates. With school prize bookplate to the front pastedown.
