    This volume offers a refined collection of menus and recipes tailored for a range of social gatherings, from intimate breakfasts and formal luncheons, to elaborate ball suppers, providing insight into Victorian dining customs, hosting etiquette, and classic recipes from the late 19th century.

    Publisher's adverts to the pastedowns, and endpapers, and sixteen pages to the rear.

    Blind stamp of Eloise Schofield to the title page.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine slightly faded. Boards and spine slightly discoloured. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Bookplate from "Martin & Pamela Finch: Exlibris Gastronomique", to front free endpaper. very slight spot of damp staining to edge of front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if slightly age toned. One or two spots to the fore edge.
