The first edition. 

A very scarce work. 

This ornithological work was written by Edwin Lester Arnold who is best known for creating one of the earliest examples of the 'planetary romance' sub genre. This work provides a study on British bird life, having studied agriculture and ornithology in England after his childhood in India.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with bumping and rubbing to the extremities and slight marks to the boards. Front hinge tender. Internally binding tender with very lightly age toned pages and the odd spot.
