    Leather Binding, Scarce, Signed Binding

    Bound by Zaehnsdorf. 

    The serialisation of H. Rider Haggard's popular novel 'Allan Quatermain', including his essay 'On Going Back' and a 'Suggested Prologue to a Dramatised Version of 'She'', with the twenty-four chapters of the novel extracted from Volumes IX, X, and XI of 'Longman's Magazine', for November 1886 to April 1888. 

    The novel was published in book form in 1887.

    This serialisation includes passages which did not make it into the published work.

    'Allan Quatermain' is the sequel to Haggard's best known work 'King Solomon's Mines', following Quatermain as he longs to get back into the wilderness after the death of his son.

    Condition

    In a crushed half morocco binding with cloth to the boards, bound by Zaehnsdorf. Externally, generally smart, with spots and discolouration to the leather. Spine is a little faded. A few scattered spots to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
