Accounts of experiences and nature in the polar regions, with chapters on the Arctic summer, polar bears, Eskimos and their dogs, the sea-otter, hunting, the snowy owl, Mount Erebus, and much more. Written anonymously.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark. A tear to one plate and a closed tear page 143 where text block has been opened harshly between the two pages. School prize bookplate to the front pastedown.
