Written by the author of Morning and Night Watches, being Scottish author of religious works, John Ross Macduff.
Bound in the publisher's decorative paper vellum.
This charming, pocket-sized work presents itself as a text book for mourners, providing guidance for the first month of grieving. It is comprised of a bible passage for every morning and every evening for thirty-one days, intended to provide solace and comfort during a difficult time.
Illustrated with lovely gilt and colour adornments to each passage.
Dated using Jisc from copies of the work held at the British Library.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's original paper vellum. Externally, a little discoloured and lightly marked, as is typical with paper vellum. Internally, firmly bound, with cords occasionally visible, although still remaining firm. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark.
