In the publisher's original blue cloth bindings.
A smart, complete, six-volume set of Shakespeare’s complete works, bound and produced at London’s Chiswick Press by Kegan Paul.
These volumes are the very scarce Avon editions of these works, with the text being "mainly that of Delius". These copies include Shakespeare’s dramas, comedies, tragedies, histories.
Volume VI includes Shakespeare's Sonnets, Pericles, and poems including "Sonnets to Sundry notes of Music", "The Phoenix and the Turtle", "The Passionate Pilgrim" and "A Lover's Complaint".
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Externally, very smart. One or two handling marks to boards. Slight offsetting and the odd spot to endpapers. Spines slightly faded. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities and boards, more so to heads and tails of spines, resulting in one or two very small closed tears. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if slightly age toned, with one or two spots to fore edges. Pages 9-24 henry vi part two in Vol III creased. Pages 119-122 of Vol IV torn at lower perimeter, with loss to half of pages of Coriolanus.
