From G. A. Henty, an English novelist and war correspondent who is best known for his prolific output of historical and adventure novels, earning him the reputation as the most popular Boy's author of his day and inspiring other other writers to attempt writing juvenile adventure stories in his style, including Herbert Strang, Percy F. Westerman and Henry Everett McNeil.
Condition
In the publisher's decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with really only mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with only the very odd spot to the endpapers and a contemporary ink inscription to the half title.
