A descriptive guide to various field and gun sports of the British countryside, completed only days before the author's sudden death. This volume provides instruction and tips for successful outings when fox-hunting, salmon-fishing, covert-shooting, and deer-stalking, with reference to the different between real hunting and artificial shoots. Written by Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Walter Henry Bromley-Davenport, a British Conservative Party politician. Illustrated by Lieutenant-General Henry Hope Crealock, or Crealocke, a British soldier, artist, and author.

Condition

In the original half morocco with marbled boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine with minor loss to the head of the spine. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers.
