A discussion of the Great English earthquake of 1884, which caused considerable damage in Colchester and the surrounding villages in Essex. It is the most destructive earthquake to have hit the United Kingdom in at least the last 400 years, since the Dover Straits earthquake of 1580.
This work is volume I of the 'Essex Field Club Special Memoirs'.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with just a touch of fading to back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to first and last few leaves, with pages otherwise exceptionally clean and bright.
