What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Signed Binding

In full Hatchards signed calf binding.

Undated, dated from a copy held at Hathi Trust.

A collection of poems by Robert Burns, who is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland. Celebrated worldwide, he was a great pioneer of the Romantic movement as well as inspiration for the founders of both liberalism and socialism.

Interestingly, much of his writing is in a light Scots dialect, which is still accessible to those outside of Scotland.

Condition

In Hatchards full calf binding. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the extremities, heaviest to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the exception of scattered spotting to the first and last few leaves.
