Brassey was a note traveller and author, best known for her account of her voyage across the world 'A Voyage in the Sunbeam', published in 1878.

Condition
In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards, with renewed endpapers. Externally, smart. A little light rubbing to the leather, including to the extremities. Spine is very lightly faded. Very light rubbing to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots. Collated, lacking one folding chart.
