Bound in half straight grain morocco, with cloth boards. 

Founded in 1826 by John Burke, Burke's Peerage is considered an authority on the noble families of the United Kingdom as well as its lesser nobility. Offering details of the ancestry and heraldry of the peerage, baronetage, knightage and landed gentry of the United Kingdom.

Together with memoirs of the privy councillors and knights. 

This edition completed by Bernard Burke, John Burke's son and the Ulster King of Arms. 

With forty-four pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. 



Condition

Bound in half straight grain morocco, with cloth boards. Externally, very smart with joints and hinges firm. With minor wear to the backstrip and corners and small marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Neat ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
